Use | 2, 4-dichlorobenzoyl chloride is an intermediate of the herbicides benzazole and pyrazolate. as a dye, pharmaceutical intermediates. used as pesticide and pharmaceutical intermediates |
production method | is obtained by reacting 2, 4-dichlorobenzoic acid with chlorine sulfite. The preparation method is obtained by acylation of 2, 4-dichlorobenzoic acid with an acid chlorinating agent such as sulfoxide chloride, phosphorus trichloride and the like. The mixture of 2, 4-dichlorobenzoic acid and thionyl chloride was heated and refluxed for 3-4H, then the excess thionyl chloride was distilled off, and the product was distilled under reduced pressure. It is also possible to use 2, 4-dichlorotoluene for the side chain chlorination to obtain 2,4-α,α,α-pentachlorotoluene, and to hydrolyze the product. |
